LMS Chamber Orchestra Participating in the Midwest Clinic

What began in 1946 as 120 music directors meeting for six hours in a Chicago YWCA gym has now become the annual four-day music band and orchestra conference known as The Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra and Music Conference. For over 70 years, musicians, educators and people passionate about music education of all skill levels have gathered in Chicago for the largest music conference of its kind.

Two Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) art educators have been recognized by the Virginia Art Education Association (VAEA) with Teacher of the Year awards for their dedication and outstanding commitment to students.
Lee HS Students Plant Trees, Take Action Against Climate Change
Individual schools across Fairfax County have been planting trees on their properties to increase ecological landscaping with the support of Fairfax County Public Schools’ Department of Facilities and Transportation Services. As part of a larger-scale effort, Lee High School students planted their first group of trees on Thursday, November 7.
