Longfellow’s PTA Teacher Appreciation Committee needs students’ help displaying materials and posters around the school. Come to the main entrance at school on Sunday, May 5, at 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM. Students can receive service hours.

SHARE, Inc., our local food pantry that serves those in need in our community holds food drives at local grocery stores periodically throughout the year. Volunteers greet incoming shoppers, hand-out flyers, sort and load groceries. Currently scheduled dates: Check out @email to sign up for these upcoming events and other events TBD  

Martha's Table (2114 14th Street NW, DC) needs volunteers who are older than 9 to help with food prep from 10:00-1:00 or sorting clothes 9:30-11:30 or 11:30-2:30 Tuesday -- Saturday. For more information on volunteering:

Fairfax County Parks and Rec needs help removing non-native plants. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. See for more information on when and where to volunteer.

A Million, needs people to write letters to troops stationed overseas which A Million Thanks will ship off for you.
