Congratulations to Ms. Beth Schinstock on her recognition as the April 2023 FCPS CARES Region 2 Recipient of the Month by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story below, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Below is the write-up submitted by Assistant Principal Mrs. Amy Smith.

Ms. Schinstock is an outstanding teacher who truly seeks to know and support each of her students. Concerns for a few of her students led her to start a "breakfast club" for those students prior to the start of the school day. She uses the time with them to help them get organized and ready for their school day, check in with how they're doing both at school and outside of school, and play games to increase their sense of connection with each other and at Longfellow.  Her students are so fortunate to have Ms. Schinstock in their corner!
